In Loving Memory
This page is dedicated to all those that we have loved and lost.
My
father died in May of 2001 after battling kidney cancer for 16
months. It was before Mike and I met. Tristan's middle
name is in honor of my father. I gave a eulogy at his wake and
posted it here so that people can know what a great man he was.
Rose was my grandmother on my father's side. She was everything a grandma is supposed to be.. she spoiled me, loved me and she was my absolute favorite person. She was 91 when she died. She lived a very long , full life.. she buried her mother, father , a husband and two sons before she passed. I also gave her a eulogy that I've linked to this page to share with all of you. She died between Christmas and New Years in 2005.
Aunt
Marie was my father's sister and the oldest of the three. She died
in the summer of 2008 when Tristan was only a few months old of a
sudden heart attack. She was a unique person who was
"challenged". She made us all laugh and was the most innocent
and harmless person you'd ever meet. I wrote her a
eulogy too.
I'm glad she was able to meet our son, as she was very excited when
he was born . This picture is the only photo I have of her
with him.
James was a great friend of mine and Mike's along with his wife Pamela. He lost his battle with Hodgekins Lymphoma in the summer of 2006 and is Tristan's godfather (Pam is his godmother). They both lived in Maryland. His spirit was amazing and although he was going through such a horrible illness, he didn't let that stand in the way of living his life. He adored Tristan and this picture was a picture I took of them together the last time we went to visit him.
Betty was my grandmother on my mother's side. She lived in Great Falls MT.
Pete was my grandfather on my Mother's side. He died on the same day as my father only, I believe, 2 years earlier. He lived in Montana and Arizona. Unfortunately, because of the long distance, we never really had the opportunity to get to know each other
John was my Uncle on my Dad's side. He died of complications from Type II diabetes. He was a funny man and I always enjoyed visits with him. He died sometime in the late 1990's
Herman was my grandfather on my father's side. He died when I was in my early teens after battling alzheimers for many years.
Not many people get the opportunity to have met and to know their great grandparents. Both lived well into their 90's. They were my fathers grandparents. Herman died when I was around 10 and although Mary died when I was only 5 I remember her.
